Fissure treatment in Pune
An anal fissure is a small tear in the thin, moist tissue called the mucosa that lines the anus. An anal fissure may occur when you pass large stools during bowel movements. An anal fissure usually causes bleeding and pain with bowel movements. Sometimes patients might experience spams in the ring of muscle at the end of your anus(anal sphincter).
Anal fissures are common in infants, but they can occur in any age group. Most anal fissure gets better with simple treatment. But some fissures may need medication and, if necessary, surgery.

- Colonoscopy: the doctor inserts a flexible tube to inspect the entire length of the colon.
Treatment
Usually, acute fissures can be treated with non-surgical methods like applying nitroglycerin externally, anesthetic creams, botox injection, blood pressure medications, etc., if the patient has chronic fissures and unbearable pain or severe symptoms, they need immediate medical attention. The doctors might suggest a procedure called lateral internal sphincterotomy treatment.
