Gynaecomastia In Men is Not that Uncommon!
Well yes, it is not that uncommon, more than 1 million men in India complaint about “man boobs” every year. Gynaecomastia in men is a condition of over-developed or enlarged breasts that can occur at any age. The condition can be the result of hormonal changes, obesity, heredity, or the use of certain drugs. Gynaecomastia in men can cause emotional discomfort and impair your self-confidence.
In certain cases, men have known to even avoid certain physical activities and intimacy simply to hide their condition. It is actually quite a common disorder and it is basically the development of female-like breasts in a male patient. The disorder itself is distressing and that is why many patients come to plastic surgeons for correction of Gynaecomastia.
There are multiple causes of Gynaecomastia in men, it may be physiological or developmental commonly seen during infancy, the adolescent age group and then in the old age as well.
