One of the biggest setbacks of gastric cancer is the difficulty of diagnosing it. Since stomach cancer usually doesn’t cause any early symptoms, it usually goes undiagnosed and eventually spreads in the body which makes it more difficult to treat. At Deccan Clinic, Multidisciplinary Tumour Board or MDT is followed by each patient, where a consolidated team of designated doctors is assigned to the patients according to their respective treatments:

Surgical oncologist: treats cancer with surgery.
Medical oncologist: treats cancer with medicine.
Gastroenterologist: specialization in the treatment of gastrointestinal (digestive) system.
Radiation oncologist: treats cancer with radiation therapy.

This particular way of treating patients at Deccan Clinic has made sure that medical outcomes are better and survival is, even more, better so that the overall treatment remains world standard.
